1. Who we are
MrChart provides U.S. stock market analysis, charts and AI research tools at mrchart.com and app.mrchart.com. This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it and the choices you have. It applies to our website, the MrChart platform and the emails we send.
2. Data you give us
When you create an account we collect your name, email address, username, phone number and country, and your password, which we store only as a secure one-way hash. If you subscribe, we keep your plan, billing status and payment history; card details are entered with our payment processor and are never stored on our servers. We also keep what you choose to save on the platform, such as watchlists, favorites, alerts, chart layouts, drawings and settings, and the messages you send to our support team or to the MrChart AI assistant.
3. Signing in with Google
If you choose to continue with Google, Google shares your name, email address, profile picture and Google account identifier with us. We request only the basic openid, email and profile permissions. We use this data only to create your MrChart account or sign you in, to show your name and picture in your profile, and to contact you about your account. We do not request access to your Gmail, contacts, Drive, calendar or any other Google data. Google user data is never sold, never used for advertising and never shared with third parties, except the service providers described in section 6 that help us run the platform. Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can remove MrChart's access at any time from the security settings of your Google Account.
4. Data collected automatically
When you use MrChart we collect usage data such as the pages you visit, the symbols you view, the features you use, your device and browser type, an approximate location derived from your IP address, and error reports. On the platform we may record sessions, meaning clicks, scrolling and page changes, to find and fix problems.
5. How we use your data
We use your data to provide, maintain and secure your account and the service; to personalize what you see, such as watchlists, alerts and settings; to process payments and manage subscriptions; to send service emails and, where you have agreed, notifications and product updates; to answer support requests; to understand how the platform is used and improve it; to detect and prevent fraud, abuse and security incidents; and to meet our legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
6. Who we share data with
We share personal data only with service providers that process it on our behalf, under contract and only for the purposes in this policy: cloud hosting and content delivery, database hosting, payment processing, email delivery, browser push notification services, product analytics and error monitoring, and AI model providers that process the questions you send to the MrChart AI assistant in order to generate answers. We may also disclose data when the law requires it, to protect the rights, safety and security of our users and the platform, or as part of a merger or acquisition, in which case we will tell you.
7. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in (secure, HTTP-only session cookies), to remember your language and theme, to save chart settings on your device, and to measure how the website and platform are used. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings; blocking the sign-in cookies will sign you out.
8. How long we keep data
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data, except records we must keep for legal, tax, accounting or security reasons, such as payment records, which we keep only for as long as the law requires. Usage and error data are kept for a limited period and then deleted or aggregated so they no longer identify you.
9. Your choices and rights
You can update your profile at any time and delete your account from your profile settings or by emailing support@mrchart.com. You can also ask us to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, or object to certain processing, by emailing support@mrchart.com; we answer within 30 days. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails with the link in any of them, and turn off browser notifications in your browser.
10. Security
We protect your data with TLS encryption on every connection, hashed passwords, access limited to the staff who need it, and continuous monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and will notify you of a breach where the law requires it.
11. Children
MrChart is not intended for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
12. International transfers
We and our service providers may process your data in countries other than your own, including the United States. When we do, we use appropriate safeguards to protect it.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version, and we will tell you about material changes by email or in the platform before they take effect.
